"My intention was to share the story of the indomitable spirit through American writer Joseph Campbell's narrative archetype; The Hero's Journey with an audience in such a manner that one can reflect on and participate actively in their own journey. I have always been, and increasingly more in present days, fascinated by the unconscious mind and the methods of communication it seeks to unify with consciousness. It is my hope that through this exhibit and series, some viewers may start paying more attention to their dreams at night. 

Through this series, I have also ventured on my own hero's journey as an artist. By overcoming past doubts natural to any aspiring artist, I really wanted to push myself in a manner that once I had completed painting the final piece, I could look at where I stand now, and see all the experience and growth in front of me. When I look upon this body of work, I can see my own inner gold reflecting back at me."
